Fortiweb Web Application Firewall

FortiWeb is a hardware or virtual appliance that works with Fortinet’s Security Fabric to protect web-based applications from common threats. The Web Application Firewall uses machine learning for behavioral modeling and threat intelligence from FortiGuard Labs to defend against attacks such as SQL injection, cross-site scripting (XSS), and buffer overflows. It offers both positive security models for known application behavior and negative security models for detecting anomalies. Administrators can manage the firewall through a web interface or console, allowing them to set up policies through advanced features like SSL offloading, load balancing, and traffic rewriting capabilities to mitigate complex attacks while maintaining performance levels on web servers.
